This musical event will raise funds to support affordable housing and home ownership in the Bloomington community. Eddie Baraka Mony, “The Kenyan Crooner,” is a tenor studying under Andreas Poulimenos at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He has performed as a soloist for the Kenyatta University Choir, the Nairobi Music Society, and the Kenya Conservatoire of Music. Eddie’s international presence is flourishing with recent appearances in the United Kingdom, Finland, and Canada.

Feast on Bach III: Cantatas of Pentecost and Reformation

The Bloomington Changer Singers will present the final concert of their 2017-2018 season with a performance of four Bach cantatas composed for Pentecost, Trinity, and Reformation Sunday. Conducted by BCS Music Director Gerald Sousa, “Feast on Bach III” will take place on Sunday, April 15, at 3 p.m.

A preconcert lecture on Bach and his cantatas will be presented at 2 p.m. by Dr. Daniel R. Melamed, Professor of Musicology and Bach scholar at the IU Jacobs School of Music. Tickets are available at the door or in advance at www.chambersingers.info.
