As the weather warms up, Monroe County community members have the opportunity to Spring into Action! to help their neighbors in need. We invite you, your friends, and family to join us in our efforts to reduce the uncertainty of poverty in the area, and provide high-quality, subsidized childcare for working families. Generous financial and volunteer support from our neighbors ensures we can operate a sliding-scale childcare program, an emergency food pantry, offer clothing, hygiene and personal items for struggling families, and prevent homelessness by providing rent, mortgage, and utility assistance to households in crisis.
The Spring Luncheon will feature a live and silent auction with items for a variety of tastes and budgets, a delicious lunch buffet, and presentations on MCUM’s role in the community. $20 tickets can be purchased by calling 339-3429 ext. 15, or by visiting www.mcum.org. Tickets for children 3 and under are free. All proceeds will benefit MCUM’s childcare and emergency services programs.
