Artists’ Lecture and Lecture by Nan Brewer

The noon hour slide lecture conducted by exhibiting artists and the following lecture by Nan Brewer on Pop Art and Printmaking are part of the Light/Matter Symposium, being held August 23rd -August 25th. The Symposium features lectures, panel discussions, and an Open House with participation by the curators and artists from Europe, North America and Asia. Four of the exhibiting artists will be invited to attend, present key-note lectures and participate in panel discussions and an open house in the printmaking studios. Each of them is internationally recognized for their innovative work in photo based printmaking and will be able to share their experiences and expertise throughout the three days of events. The exhibit will open on August 25th and continue through October 4, 2017.

Bloomington Walking Club

The Bloomington Walking Club is an informal group that meets for a guided group walk on the paved trails surrounding Olcott Park. The group meets every Thursday evening, weather permitting. All ability levels are welcome. Participation is free, and registration is not required. Walkers choose their own pace. Presented by IU Health Bloomington Community Health, IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians, Monroe County YMCA, and Bloomington Parks and Recreation. This group meets on Thursdays at 6 p.m. weekly, April-October, at the Olcott Park Shelter (2300 E. Canada Dr. ).
