A Holiday Medley of Music and Laughter…..

Now in its 10th year in Nashville, Golden Ticket Productions present this popular holiday tradition variety show. Music includes Christmas songs, Broadway classics plus comedy including a finale with Santa Claus. The show fills the Playhouse with holiday singing, laughter and special effects lighting! Golden Ticket Productions also produces the hit shows at the Playhouse: Ol’ Blue Eyes and Platinum Girls The Musical. “Believe” is directed by Russell Moss and Brad Zumwalt.

The Bloomington Chamber Singers will open its 2017-2018 season with a performance of five Bach cantatas composed for the Christmas season. Conducted by BCS Music Director Gerald Sousa, “Feast on Bach 1: Christmas” will take place on Dec. 3, 2017 at 3 p.m., and is the first of a three-part series of concerts that explores the cantatas Bach wrote for the major feast days of the liturgical year.

A preconcert lecture on Bach and his cantatas will be presented at 2 p.m. by IU Professor of Musicology and Bach scholar Dr. Daniel R. Melamed. Tickets are available at the door or in advance at our website, www.chambersingers.info.

A free chamber music concert at the MCPL auditorium featuring members of the Southern Indiana Wind Ensemble and other Bloomington area musicians. Bring the family, kids, friends, neighbors – suitable for all ages! Program will include performances by Bloomington Bones, SIWE Clarinet Quintet, a horn choir, and more.

The Firehouse Follies are about to take a brief winter siesta, but before that happens we are delighted to present our winter show, “BloomRunner 2017,” to be held on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Waldron Whikehart Auditorium. Our musical lineup includes the New Hoosier Broadcasters, the WFHB Gospel Gurlz, and the Firehouse Rounders.
