Nature Play Day: Play Passport Challenge

Enjoy a nature play day at Paynetown SRA, June 11

Families are invited to Paynetown State Recreation Area on Sunday, June 11 for Monroe Lake’s second annual Nature Play Day: Play Passport Challenge.

You can begin anytime between 10 a .m. and 4 p.m. by checking in at the Activity Center to pick up your play passport. Participants have until 5 p.m. to complete as many activities as they can before returning to the Activity Center.

Each activity must be documented with a photo, so every family or group needs to have a digital camera. Certificates and small prizes will be awarded to people who complete a minimum number of passport play activities.

Admission to Paynetown SRA (4850 S. State Road 446, Bloomington) is $7 per vehicle with Indiana plates, or $9 per vehicle with out-of-state plates. Annual passes can also be purchased at the entrance gatehouse.

The timeless classic Winnie the Pooh comes to the John Waldron Arts Center–Whikehart Auditorium, June 9th through 11th, 2017. The show is presented by Solarium Productions, a youth-founded and youth-led theatre group, and benefits the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bloomington. Come to the Waldron to support the Clubs and youth theatre in your community. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to showtime. The approximate run time is 70 minutes.
