The Secret of Good Luck

01:00 pm to 03:30 pm
Kadampa Meditation Center Bloomington, 406 S. Walnut St.
http://www.meditationinbloomington.org

The Secret of Good Luck is hosted by guest teacher Gen Kelsang Zamling, American Buddhist monk and resident reacher of KMC Indianapolis. The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 17, from 1–3:30 p.m.

What is the secret to having good luck or good fortune? Where does it come from? Buddha taught that everything we experience in life, both good and bad, is all related to our karma, the relationship between our actions and our experiences in life. The “secret” of good luck comes from understanding this law of cause and effect and learning to recognize how it functions in our daily lives. Empowered by this understanding, we can gain real confidence in our ability to let go of the past and create the future happiness and success we desire.

Cost: $15 for pre-registration; $20 at the door; student rate is $10.

Bloomington Creative Glass Center’s Glass EGGstravaganza!

01:00 pm to 05:00 pm
First United Church
http://bloomingtoncreativeglasscenter.org/make-a-pumpkin.html

Come to our drop-in workshop and make your own fused glass magnet or suncatcher. This family-friendly workshop is an opportunity for anyone age 5+ to try glass making “on the spot” in 15 minutes or fewer.

Glass-fusing is a fun creative process that involves collaging smaller bits of glass onto a larger glass surface. Your piece will be taken to a kiln offsite for firing and will be available for pickup by March 26. The cost for fusing is $15 for a small piece, and $25 for a roughly 4″ x 3″ square.

Reservations are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome! We will take reservations every 15 minutes from 1–4:30 p.m. If you would like to register for a time slot, please contact us at [email protected], or call 812-345-2470.
