The St. Charles Parent Band is an eclectic ensemble of musician parents who wish to embarrass their kids and cover some rock, jazz, country and blues tunes. With the accompaniment of Stephen Lucaites (who doubles as the St. C band director), they blend horns, a fine looking rhythm section and other percussion instruments to create a unique sound. The band is accustomed to playing in front of crowds who like to drink beer, enjoy music and a good time!

A regal fanfare that creates an air of excitement and anticipation, this short piece shines a spotlight on our brass section.

*Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor (3rd Movement)
Features the grand prize winner of our 2018 Youth Concerto Competition, Phillip Hammond as soloist on what is arguably the most popular violin concerto ever written.

*Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 – Pathétique
“I have put my whole soul into this work…It is the best thing I ever composed or shall compose.” Tchaikovsky’s final symphony is truly a masterpiece, full of grand hopes and deepest despair. It changed symphonic music forever. What will its impact be on you?
