Whether you are new to board service or have years of experience under your belt, the Nonprofit Board Certificate Seminar from 1-5 p.m. on Thursday, October 17 at Bloomington City Hall will benefit your future board service. Anyone needing training or a tune-up on how to be an effective board member is welcome to attend this interactive training led by experienced board trainer Michael Shermis. Topics covered include the roles and responsibilities of board membership, board dynamics and recruitment, board life cycles, and how to assess which board is right for you.
