Margaret Fisher Squires grew up in or near the capital cities of the United States, India, and Turkey. The third time she and her husband moved to Bloomington, Indiana, they put down roots, and raised their daughter here. She learned how to stop writing like an academic while turning out a column on marriage for an area bridal magazine. Bloomington has generously supported Margaret’s writing through the Hart Rock Poetry Series, the Poets Weave on WFIU, Upstart Poets, the Writers Guild, and of course Five Women Poets. She is proud to be one of the co-authors of the Five Women Poets’ chapbook, Birds of a Feather. She is a psychotherapist, and for fun listens to live music and incites people to dance whenever possible.

Andy Hubbard was raised in a Maine village so remote it could not even boast a stop sign, although it did have several fugitives and Maine’s only authenticated cattle rustler.

By some mistake that has never been satisfactorily explained, he was admitted to Dartmouth College, where he majored in girls and beer. As punishment he was awarded a BA in English.

Later, he added an MA in Creative Writing to his wall art, and became unemployed, a profession which he followed with sporadic breaks for the next 35 years.

In 2014 he became completely insolvent by devoting himself to writing poetry.

He accepts donations.
