Free Class: Professional Portrait Lighting

As part of Arts Education Week at Trained Eye Arts Center, Michael Lindsay is hosting this free workshop for all skill levels. You will get a demonstration of basic camera settings and options, and develop a basic understanding of figure posing and scene set-up for portraiture. Michael will teach simple techniques using both artificial and natural light to obtain the ideal portrait, and help you advance your skills in critique methods and critical analysis.

Students will create 2 finished portraits in digital format, with the option to obtain prints at a discounted price from ML Photography.

This workshop is for adults and older children 16+
Bringing a friend or model as your subject is welcomed, but not required.
Students must provide their own camera; any digital camera is acceptable.
Some cameras will be available for demonstration.
Students should have a working knowledge of their camera’s basic functions.
