TRACY MISHKIN is a call center veteran with a PhD and a graduate of the MFA program in Creative Writing at Butler University. She is the author of two chapbooks, I Almost Didn’t Make It to McDonald’s (Finishing Line Press, 2014) and The Night I Quit Flossing (Five Oaks Press, 2016). Her third, This is Still Life, is forthcoming from Brain Mill Press this fall. It’s the kind of book where you might use the word “collusion” to describe the interplay of the political and the personal.

TOM HASTINGS earned a BA in Mythogenics from Antioch and has taken graduate classes at the California Institute of Asian Studies, The C.G.Jung Institute in Switzerland and Indiana University. He’s been a Royal Scottish Arts Council Poet-in-the Schools and an Indiana Arts Commission Poet-in-Residence in Zionsville and Bloomington. He created the Indianapolis Broadsheet (with a 50,000 press run distributed through Indianapolis Free University catalogues), co-founded the Indianapolis Writers Center and was poetry editor of its Imprint magazine. His work has appeared in numerous small press publications and he fronted the poetry band, CoupCoupDaddy. He was foreign correspondent for Zoo & Logical Times and, since retiring after 36 years of teaching language arts and gender psychology at Harmony High School in Bloomington, for the past 4 years he has taught adult and kid classes in theatrical magic skills for Ivy Tech’s Center for Lifelong Learning. On Fridays and Sundays, he demonstrates conjuring effects at Rich Hill’s Magic and Fun Emporium in Nashville, Indiana.

ZILIA BALKANSKY-SELLÉS is a Bloomington-based writer, and occasional dancer and actor. She has a Ph.D. in Folklore from Indiana University and an M.I.S. from The University of Michigan. Zilia has written for Wild Swan Theater, which produces plays for Michigan schools and libraries. She does freelance work as an English language editor and developmental editor. She was one of the co-hosts for Eco Report on WFHB Community Radio. She works as an academic advisor for the Groups Scholars Program at Indiana University. Zilia also gardens and cares for her rescued animal family.
