T.C. Steele Visits The Venue

05:30 pm to 07:00 pm
The Venue

On Tuesday, June 26th, beginning at 5:30p.m. The Venue will host a presentation by The T.C. Steele State Historic Site.
The one thing people in Indiana know, if they know anything about their Indiana art heritage, is one name, T.C. Steele. But who was T.C, Steele and why do we have a wonderful historical cite in his honor, located so very near Belmont IN, off Highway 46 on the way to Nashville, IN?
All of these questions, and more, will be answered on Tuesday eve, by the informed and informative staff of The T.C. Steele State Historic Site.
To pique your curiosity, Theodore Clement Steele was the first “Artist in Residence” at Indiana University, and established other important artistic firsts. His paintings now sell in the multi thousand dollar range, and if you learn what to look for, you might still find a treasurer.
You will also discover the Historic Site itself, a treasure trove of wonderful nature and art experiences, located in our own back yard.
