World Peace Sand Mandala

The Tashi Kyil monks begin creation of a World Peace sand mandala. The monks will have an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. and will work on the mandala each day until it is completed on Tuesday, August 28th. The completed mandala can be viewed on the 28th from 3-5 p.m. with a closing ceremony beginning at 5 p.m. The public is invited to both the opening and closing ceremony. The public may also stop by Unity of Bloomington to view the work in progress and watch the monks work each of the five days between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Unity of Bloomington, in partnership with the Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center, invites the public to five days of sacred learning, spiritual enlightenment and interaction with the Tibetan Buddhist monks visiting on the 2018-2019 Tashi Kyil Tour. The monks are from Tashil, a Tibetan refugee monastery located in Dehra Dun, India.
