Josh Newkirk scored 20 points and Robert Johnson dropped in a dozen to lead Indiana to an 87-59 win over Tennessee Tech Thursday night, December 21, at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The win was the seventh for the Hoosiers in 13 games this season, while the Golden Eagles dropped to 8-5.

Freddie McSwain Jr. added 10 points in a balanced effort for Indiana. Three players—Juwan Morgan, De’Ron Davis, and Devonte Green—tossed in 9 points each, and Zach McRoberts scored 8. The Hoosiers led 38-26 at the half and outscored the Golden Eagles 49-33 in the second half in earning the win.

Tennessee Tech was led by Kajon mack with 14 points, and Mason Ramsey and Micaiah Henry with 10 each.

Indiana is idle until next Friday, December 29, when they host 2-10 Youngstown State, the final game before the Hoosiers’ Big Ten Conference schedule begins.
