October is a month of chemistry, the study of the properties and interactions of matter, at WonderLab! Join WonderLab educators as we experiment and test with red cabbage pH indicators. We will learn about acids and bases and why red cabbage makes a good pH indicator. We will make hypotheses about different substances and then test them. This program meets Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for grades K-2 and grades 3-5 as well as Indiana Science standards for grade 1. STEM skills explored include observing & predicting, comparing & contrasting, and defining. All welcome. Activities designed for Grades 1-6.
