“Midwest Matrix: Continuum” is a printmaking conference to be held at Indiana University September 19-21st, 2014.

This conference is thematically centered around the recent documentary, “Midwest Matrix,” by professor and master printer Susan Goldman. The film chronicles the strong tradition of printmaking in the Midwest.  Also featured will be an exhibit at the Grunwald Gallery of Art in IU’s Fine Arts Building and several lectures, workshops, and panel discussions by important members of the Midwest printmaking community. Indiana University’s own Rudi Pozzati, Ed Bernstein, and Wendy Calman will participate in panel discussions.

All events are free and open to the public and take place on the campus of Indiana University. For more information, please visit www.indiana.edu/~faspm/midwestmatrix.html or contact Tracy Templeton at [email protected]

This conference and corresponding programs were made possible by The College Arts and Humanities Institute, The Grunwald Gallery of Art, and the Printmaking workshop, all at Indiana University and by Susan Goldman and Jeffrey Owens, Wendy Calman and Homer Hogle, and Carolyn O. Goldman.
