The annual Perseid Meteor Shower has arrived! The moon is a waning crescent, which means we should have nice dark skies for viewing. Come to Deer Run Shelter, next to the playground, to watch for “shooting stars,” munch on a astro-shaped treat, and make a space-themed craft. For more comfortable sky-viewing, please bring folding chairs or a blanket to sit on.

In the event of overcast/stormy skies, this program will be cancelled. If the sky looks iffy, please check the program status at the Paynetown Activity Center. A final decision will be made no later than 8 pm.

Cost: $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents; $7 per vehicle for out-of-state
