Seven new pieces of public art are on permanent display throughout the downtown area. Sponsored by the City of Bloomington Arts Commission, seven local artists painted new designs representing native Bloomington flowers, nature, and wildlife on traffic boxes located at several intersections.

In March, artists and artist teams were asked to submit their proposals for artwork that would wrap around all sides of the multidimensional traffic boxes. Selected artists were provided with a $750 honorarium, and all supplies and materials were paid for by Downtown Bloomington, Inc.

Participating artists were: Issie Aguilar, Gabi Anderson, Zoe Dognaux, Dailyn Eades, Bethany Habeggar, Keller Makemson, and Bronte Wiener.
