Jordy the CASA dog is accustomed to the daily grind. He knows 37 commands, adheres to a strict diet, and spends much of his days inside the Monroe County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) office, located at 401 N. Morton St. As an ambassador of Monroe County CASA, the Indiana Canine Assistant Network (ICAN)-certified pooch plays an important role in comforting children throughout the stress of legal proceedings.

On October 13, though, right in time for his fifth birthday, Jordy got the chance to kick his paws up and let loose at a birthday celebration held just for him at Switchyard Brewing Company. Complete with friends canine and human alike, snacks, and a pup parade, the party honored a dog who’s worthy of many, many tummy rubs and treats.
