Explore what happens to bubbles when they are put in a vacuum chamber, create your own bubble art, and build your own bubble wands at our Bubble Engineer Station! In our Glow-in-the-Dark room, the whole family can experience how chemicals in tonic water make the best glowing bubble solution under a UV light! Quarryland Men’s Chorus Open House and Late Auditions

06:00 pm to 07:00 pm
First United Church
http://quarryland.org/events/

Join us for Season 18, The Road to Festival 2020! Men and transmen are eligible to sing – all orientations and genders are welcome to join as off-stage members.

No experience necessary – auditions consist of an interview with the artistic staff and vocal exercises like scales and a sing-along with the piano. Each audition takes 5-10 minutes. No appointment necessary – but plan to stay for rehearsal 7-9:30pm afterward.

2020 is a unique opportunity for folks who want to sing at an international music festival. Quarryland will perform in Bloomington for our traditional winter and spring concerts as well as gigs like World AIDS Day, Bloomington Pridefest, Spencer Pride, and other opportunities related to our mission. Performers who sing with QMC for the entire season are eligible to travel with us to Minneapolis for the quadrennial GALA Choruses Musical Festival 2020. We’ll even pay your $275 registration fee to attend.

Festival 2020 will be like nothing you have ever experienced before, with more than 6,000 diverse singers representing over 100 choruses and ensembles for 5 powerful days of concerts, festivities, and community-building.

Quarryland Men’s Chorus is an established, respected partner in the region’s art scene. In addition to providing a positive performance-based community for gay and bisexual men and their allies in South Central Indiana, the Chorus fosters talent, fellowship, pride, and understanding through excellence in vocal music.
