Exhibit: Logan Westbrooks: Music Industry Executive, Entrepreneur, Teacher, Philanthropist

Logan Westbrooks holds an important place in the history of the music industry. As one of the first heads of a black music division at a major label, he opened the doors to other black artists and executives. This exhibit features photographs and ephemera from the Logan H. Westbrooks Collection and documents Westbrooks’s influence on the music industry during his time at Capitol, Mercury, CBS, Soul Train, and Source Records. Included are photographs of Lou Rawls, Gamble and Huff, Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes, Chuck Brown, Dick Griffey and Don Cornelius, and many others.

Exhibit can be seen until February 28 at the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center, open 9 am – 5 pm Monday – Friday.
