Join Joshua Robinson for a fascinating pre-show talk about the history of American vaudeville and its influence on the creation of Chicago, incorporating the change in audience responses from the original production to its current revival. Joshua received a B.A. in history from Kean University and a M.A. in American Studies from Columbia University. He is pursuing a dual PhD in Theater and American Studies at IU with a special research interest in American musical theater. This lecture will take place in Room 120 of Woodburn Hall from 7:00-7:45pm on both evenings of the show, October 10th and 11th. This event is free and open to the public.
