The second of the Third Thursday Virtual Winter Concerts from the  Lotus Education & Arts Foundation will be held on Thursday, January 21 at 7:00 p.m. on the Lotus Facebook and YouTube pages. The concert will feature hip hop and reggae artist Vox Sambou and an archived performance from Trio Da Kali.

Vox, who writes and performs in Creole, French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese, is known for merging social activism and hip hop through the content of his music and his role as director of La Maison des Jeunes de Côte-des-Neiges, a Montreal-based cultural community center that provides young aspiring musicians with a place to develop their musical and creative talents.

“Lotus is excited to be hosting Vox Sambou for our January concert,” says Lotus Executive Director Tamara Loewenthal. “Vox’s energy and charisma are matched only by his musical accomplishments, and his social justice work aligns so well with the Lotus mission of celebrating the diversity of the world’s cultures.”
