On Saturday, October 24, from noon–6 p.m., volunteers gathered outside the Banneker Community Center to paint a Black Lives Matter mural on North Seventh Street.

The colorful mural spells out “Black Lives Matter,” and incorporates the names of some of the Black Americans who have lost their lives to police brutality.

Volunteers were required to register in advance, work in shifts, and maintain social distancing guidelines.
