Gesche Wurfel | At the Hands of Persons Unknown

Pictura Gallery presents At the Hands of Persons Unknown by Gesche Wüerfel. These abstract, black and white prints depict old Southern trees as the silent witnesses to the lynching of women in the United States. This powerful project asks us to recognize and lament acts of racial violence carried out in North America.
