Residential Stormwater Grants Information Meeting

06:00 pm to 07:00 pm
Banneker Community Center
http://www.bloomington.in.gov/utilities/stormwater/grants

The City of Bloomington Utilities Department (CBU) invites homeowners to apply for funding through the annual Residential Stormwater Grants Program. A total of $100,000 has been dedicated in CBU’s 2022 budget to this program assisting owners of single-family residential property with environmentally-friendly drainage projects such as rain gardens, bioswales, and detention pond maintenance.
In addition to this live in-person event, the meeting will be recorded and available at www.bloomington.in.gov/utilities/stormwater/grants.
Prospective applicants must submit an application by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
Projects will be reviewed by an internal review committee, an external committee including members of the public, and the City’s Utilities Service Board. Projects will be ranked according to their potential to improve drainage and reduce the amount of pollutants discharged into our waterways. Projects containing “greener” stormwater solutions and impacting lower income census tracts will rank more favorably. Contiguous neighbors may apply together for one grant.

FAR Center for Contemporary Arts
https://thefar.org/

Learn the Art of Tea Blending, and create your very own custom aromatic blends to take home with you!

This class will encourage you to explore a variety of flavors and aromas and find ones that resonate with you. There will be tasting sessions during the workshop and you will get to make several different blends of your very own to take home!

Thanks to local beloved kitchenware shop Goods for Cooks for providing tools for the workshop and Blossom & The Bee Tea Company for providing many of the herbs from their garden.
