Forgiveness Workshop
10:00 am to 01:00 pm
234 N. Morton Street, Bloomington, IN 47404
https://www.meditationinbloomington.org/forgiveness-workshop-nov-6
For as long as we hold on to hurts from others and our own mistakes, we will find it impossible to really move forward with our life. Holding on to these things keeps us locked into the same cycles of destructive thoughts and behaviors and prevents things from changing.
Buddha gave many powerful explanations to help us understand how to stop grasping at the past and how to let go of mistakes, hurt and resentment. This workshop gives us an opportunity to learn and become familiar with the meditations on impermanence and acceptance which will free us from the past, enable us to forgive ourself and others and transform ourself into the person we wish to become.
This can be practiced by anyone, regardless of background and belief. Absolutely everyone is welcome; no previous meditation experience is needed.

Stages Bloominton presents All I Really Need To Know I Learned in Kindergarten
07:00 pm to 09:00 pm
The Warehouse
http://www.stagesbloomington.org
Based on Robert Fulghum’s best-selling books, Kindergarten takes a funny, insightful, heartwarming look at what is profound in everyday life. This tightly woven adaptation has earned standing ovations from Singapore to Prague— from L.A. to D.C. It’s an evening of theatrical storytelling in revue format, with monologues, dialogues, and multiple voice narration. The delightful stories feature colorful characters such as: a shy little boy who insists on playing the “pig” in his class production of Cinderella and steals the show; a man whose dream of flying carries him high over Los Angeles … in a lawn chair buoyed by surplus weather balloons; a “mother of the bride” who’s staged a perfect wedding—until the bowling ball of fate rolls down the aisle; and a modern-day Greek philosopher who finds the meaning of life in a piece of broken mirror from World War II. These stories celebrate our very existence, from the whimsy of childhood to the wisdom of old age.
A non-profit theatre company since 2006, Stages Bloomington Theatre Company offers exceptional year-round theatre arts education and performance opportunities for children and teens in Bloomington and surrounding counties. Programs build passion for the arts, promote self-confidence, teach collaboration, and help young people become better students and citizens.
Stages Bloomington will be requiring face masks for all attendees 3 year of age and older as mandated by the Monroe County Health Department.

Doors open at 20 minutes prior to performance times and this event is expected to last 2 hours.
