Free monthly lunch hour meditation at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater, located at 114 E Kirkwood Ave in downtown Bloomington.

Cultivate inner peace through seated meditation, walking meditation, Tai Chi, QiGong, yoga, or your own style of stillness. Enjoy periods of silence accompanied by soothing live meditative music. This event is open to all. There is no cost to attend.

Are you a Songwriter who would enjoy performing a couple of your own songs in a really cool environment? Beginning Feb. 13, 2019 – Bears Place will host a Songwriter Open Mic. Songwriters will sign up to perform up to 2 songs / turn – and will take turns with other Singer-Songwriters throughout the evening. From the beginner to the experienced Songwriter – you are welcome. Must be 21 or older to enter the Back Room at Bears Place as part of the Audience, but you can perform as long as you hang out in the front room until it’s your turn. We’re working on that!!
