The Art of Calligraphy, and Intro/Demo by Christine Wilson, at the Venue

On Tuesday eve, October 17th, beginning at 5:30 p.m., The Venue will host an introduction to and demonstration of the art of Calligraphy. Calligraphy is the art of lettering,”giving form to signs in an expressive, harmonious, and skillful manner”.
Christine Wilson is an artist specializing in illustration, calligraphy and graphic design. She has been a professional, working artist since 1996. She is a graduate of Indiana University, Herron School of Art. Christine is the Owner and Creative Director of Creative in Bloom, LLC in Bloomington, IN, established in 2008. Creative in Bloom, LLC is an online custom paperie and event branding company. Prior to creating her own business, Christine worked in advertising as a Graphic Designer, Project Manager and eventually a Creative Director. In 1998 she won her first Addy Award for her work with a team in Northern Indiana. Her calligraphy and design with Creative in Bloom has been featured on several national wedding industry blogs and magazines. Christine is a wife and mother of one. She resides in Bloomington, IN.
Christy is offering ongoing classes in Bloomington, so join us to view this utilitarian art form, and it’s creative process.
