Bloom Magazine captured 15 journalism awards at the “Best of the Best” annual gala held at the Marriott Hotel in Indianapolis on April 27. Presented by the Indiana chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, Bloom received five first place honors, two second place, five third place, and three honorable mentions.
Leading the way was Bloom Design Director Kaye Lee Johnston who hit a grand slam, taking all four prizes for magazine feature design. Contributing Editor Elisabeth Andrews also won four awards, including first place for her writing/reporting the story “The Duanys’ Amazing Journey.”
