On Sunday, April 8, the 9th annual Trashion/ReFashion Runway Show was held at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. A fundraiser for the Center for Sustainable Living, the show featured 80 locally made designs, all of which consisted of at least 90 percent recycled materials.

The show’s Trashion category presented designs made from waste materials other than traditional fabric, while the ReFashion category showcased up-cycled and reimagined clothing. Items repurposed for the designs included used dryer sheets, fruit rinds, mylar balloons, and even an old Trashion design.

The event was sponsored by Plato’s Closet.
