Indiana University fell to 1-2 with a 38-24 loss to No. 8 Cincinnati on Saturday, September 18.

The Hoosiers dominated the first two quarters and were ahead 14-0 when team captain Micah McFadden was ejected following a penalty for targeting with 2:27 remaining in the second quarter. The Bearcats scored a touchdown and a field goal in the final moments of the half and IU’s lead was cut to 14-10 at the break.

The teams matched each other throughout the third, but Indiana failed to reach the scoreboard in the fourth, allowing Cincinnati to pull out the 38-24 win.
