Science Story Time allows young scientists to develop literacy and STEM skills as well as build vocabulary by actively participating in the program. Activities designed for ages 3-6. All welcome.

“Predisposed to Violins” – Guided Experience

When John Watson suggested that Sherlock Holmes was in desperate need of a vacation, the last place he thought they would end up was Bloomington, Indiana. But Holmes hasn’t come here for rest and relaxation, he’s hot on the trail of an intriguing case. This cold-war era thriller will keep you guessing!

Cardinal’s Walkabout Radio Plays are a safe way to enjoy great storytelling in a unique setting! Each play is set in Bloomington and takes place on a designated walking route. All you need is a smart phone and your favorite headphones, and the world will be transformed around you! Listen to a new scene at each location at the story unfolds. Join us for this new, guided tour experience for small groups. These special group experiences will be led by a docent and guests will be invited to solve puzzles, enjoy some social time, and access bonus content.

Recommended for ages 14+ (mild language, violence)

Total Episodes: 2

Estimated Experience Time: 2 hours (1 hour per episode, including approximately 15-20 minutes of walking. Benches or other seating available in many locations.)

GUIDED EXPERIENCE SCHEDULE:

Option 1 – Thurs 4/15 @ 5:30pm (Episode 1) and Fri 4/16 @ 5:30pm (Episode 2)

Option 2 – Sat 4/17 @ 12pm (Both Episodes)

Option 3 – Sat 4/17 @ 2pm (Both Episodes)

Option 4 – Sun 4/18 @ 2pm (Both Episodes)

The entire experience will take place outdoors and all attendees will be required to wear a mask. Attendees will have the opportunity to examine clues and solve puzzles as they try to crack the case. Each performance will be limited to ten people. A fun way to do this is to sign up with a group!

-Good walking shoes (walk includes some park trails)
