Sessions are at 7 p.m. on five consecutive Sundays. Each is stand-alone, but participants are welcome to register for multiple sessions. Advance registration for each date is available through the day prior, while space remains; each session is limited to 15 people. Walk-ups are permitted if a session has not filled.

Sessions meet in the overflow parking area at Paynetown SRA. In the event of inclement weather, the workshop will move to a shelter. All painting supplies will be provided, but participants should bring a folding chair or blanket to sit on. Social distancing will be required.

Participants will discuss, sketch, and use watercolors to paint a native plant, under the instruction and guidance of local artist and certified art teacher, Destiny West. You’ll take home nature journal pages that you create, as well as a reference sheet about the plant you focused on.

While the workshop sessions themselves are free, there is a fee to enter Paynetown SRA, 4850 S. State Road 446, Bloomington: $7 per vehicle with Indiana license plate ($9 per vehicle with out-of-state plates). Indiana State Park Annual Entrance Permits are also accepted.
