Opal Fly & Mark Buschkill (Duo), Will Scott, Jan Bell, and Dwight Gregory – The Bloomington Songwriter Showcase – TONIGHT!

08:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Independently produced by the staff of the Showcase - hosted by the Players Pub - 424 S. Walnut St., Bloomington 47401
https://www.facebook.com/BloomingtonSongwriters

Opal Fly – www.OpalFly.com came to Bloomington a couple of years ago – (3?) and took it by storm. Her work on saxophone has become literally the gold standard around here – and combined with her spirited vocal style, and personality, has made her a star around these parts. She will be accompanied by her best friend and partner – Mark Bushkill on bass guitar. Dwight Gregory is a regular at the Showcase – not always on stage, but attends nearly every one of them. Gregory’s music (no website given) is Country and has a bit of a Blues influence as well. Dwight is artistic by nature – and is fairly well known for his artwork – which is displayed at the Player’s Pub. Will Scott www.WillScottmusic.com is an exceptional Singer-Songwriter who will round out this evening’s program. Will grew up in Indianapolis (and Chicago) and he’s known for his distinctive voice, original roots songwriting, and guitar stylings. Blending blues and Americana with a dash of rock and outlaw country, His soulful, live performances, and his acclaimed recordings have captivated crowds in the US and Europe for over twenty years. We look forward to his participation in this evening’s Showcase! Will is touring with Jan Bell – www.JanBellMusic.com also on this evening’s program. At barely twenty years old, Jan Bell came to America from northern England to teach theater and storytelling. As far as music, she first set out playing in her newly adopted neighborhood – d.u.m.b.o. (down under the Manhattan bridge overpass) by the Brooklyn Bridge. Will Scott & Jan Bell know how to put together songs and entertain an audience – from the U.K., to the Midwest (and beyond). We’re happy to have them in the house this Monday evening.
NO COVER CHARGE – and ALL AGES are welcomed
