All five of Indiana’s starters scored in double figures to lead the Hoosiers to a 70-40 Big Ten Conference win over the Penn State Lady Lions at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall Monday night, December 6.

Mackenzie Homes shot 7-10 from the field and 2-2 from the line for 16 points to go along with six rebounds and a pair of blocks for Indiana (6-2, 1-0). Ali Patberg added 15 points and Nicole Cardaño-Hillary had 14 points, seven boards, and five assists.

Makenna Marisa had 21 points for Penn State (4-5, 0-1).

“It’s a great bounce-back game for us tonight,” said Hoosiers head coach Teri Moren, referring to last Thursday’s 66-58 loss to No. 2/3 North Carolina State. “It was great to see the ball go in the basket far greater than it did the other night against NC State.”

No. 10 Indiana hopes to make it two in a row when they host Fairfield (3-4, 0-0) at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, at Assembly Hall.
