Miles Kanne was Vice President of Cook Medical from 1964 to 1992 and served on the Harmony School Advisory Board for 30 years. Gene Flander was president of the Harmony School Advisory Board until his passing in September, 1987. All proceeds from the event support the Miles Kanne Scholarship Fund for Harmony students which distributed $20,000 in scholarships to students in 2019 and since 1980 has provided over $645,000 in scholarships.

Founded in 1974, Harmony School’s mission is to prepare young people to live in and contribute to a heterogeneous democratic country. We do this by sensitizing young people to the delicate balance needed in a democracy between individual growth and community responsibility. We are dedicated to the development of the whole student: we teach critical thinking and academic skills, nurture each student’s unique voice, all while promoting physical, social, emotional, and creative growth
