Megan Hopkins, Sarah Flint, Sabrina Bays, Johnny Bennett – Tonight !– Bloomington Songwriter Showcase

Independantly produced - hosted by the Players Pub - 424 S. Walnut, Bloomington IN 47401
http://facebook.com/BloomingtonSongwriters

Megan Hopkins (www.reverbnation.com/meganhopkins9) – is a little gal from Lapel IN visiting us this evening. The first thing you’ll notice about Megan is how natural she is – both physically and with her demeanor on stage. She makes everyone comfortable right away and has a big personality to match her GREAT BIG voice. Seriously, this gal can wail! When she starts to sing – folks have to listen. Her voice is reminiscent of Janis Joplin at times, and her songs are decidedly Country, but offer up some Blues and even a twinge of Rock & Roll. Her songs are not complex, but they say a lot. This will be Megan’s first Showcase and we think she will enjoy it as much as our Audience will. Sarah Flint (http://www.sarahsswingset.com) – Sarah Flint is a very prolific musician here in Bloomington IN – teaching music (ukulele, guitar, voice), member of Sarah’s Swing Set, member of Hoosier Darling (aka The WFHB GoZpel GurlZ), and duo with Tim Tryon. One busy lady is Sarah Flint, but when we had a cancellation for this evening’s program – we were pleased and a bit surprised when Sarah accepted our invitation . . . Thanks Sarah!!! Sarah performs using her guitar and ukulele. . AND even has a few acapella tunes! We look forward to having Sarah on this evening’s program – it’s been too long! Sabrina Bays (https: //www. http://rcsvsbays.wix.com/sabrinab#!) is a seventeen year old Singer-Songwriter from Fredericksburg IN We met Sabrina when she showed up for one of our monthly OPEN ‘Share-a-Chair’ evenings. This little Country Music Songwriter – just wow-ed us!. She’s been writing for at least 25% of her young life and says she enjoys entertaining with stories and songs more than anything else in the world. When you see you – you’ll know why. We see a long successful future for this young writer and welcome her to her first full Feature Songwriter spot. Johnny Bennett (www.johnny-bennett.com) just returned back to Bloomington after an extended visit to L.A. where he lived for a few years prior to his move back to Bloomington. He is a Singer-Songwriter with one foot in the Los Angeles CA – music scene, and the other in his Midwestern Roots style. He is a tremendously good Songwriter, and a wonderful performer – very talented fellow in general. We missed him when he went back to L.A., but are glad to have him back – at least for a little while.
