Letting Go of Unhappiness

10:00 am to 01:00 pm
Kadampa Meditation Center Bloomington, 406 S. Walnut St.
http://www.meditationinbloomington.org

Imagine waking up one day to discover that all of our internal responses to things are automatically joyful – coming from a deep sense of wellbeing. This can become our reality through meditation practice, and can put us in a much stronger position to help others in our family and community.

This course will include guided meditations and practical advice that can help transform our way of thinking about ourselves, others, and the world. Through changing our view, we naturally come to experience everything in a much more productive and positive way. When we can let go of our unhappiness, we open ourselves up to amazing possibilities all around us!
Everyone is welcome.

Includes two sessions with a 30-minute break in between. Refreshments served.
Cost: $15 pre-registration, $20 at the door. Register now at meditationinbloomington.org

First United Church, (Next to St. Charles School)
http://bloomingtoncreativeglasscenter.org/make-a-pumpkin.html

Glass-fusing is a fun, creative process that involves collaging smaller bits of glass onto a larger glass surface. Your piece will be taken to a kiln offsite for firing and will be available for pick-up by December 16. The cost for fusing is $15 for a small piece, and $25 for a roughly 4″ x 3″ square.

Reservations are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome! We will take reservations every 15 minutes from 1:00–4:30 p.m. If you would like to register for a time slot, please contact us at [email protected], or call 812-345-2470.

Study Break

06:30 pm to 09:00 pm
WonderLab

Finals week can be an overwhelming and stressful time. Extensive studying without any breaks, however, is actually detrimental to the learning process as fatigue and over-saturation of material will make it unlikely that you will remember everything. WonderLab is here for you. Study Break is geared towards any college student, undergraduate or graduate. The museum will stay open late and will have stress relief activities, so take a break and join us. Dinner is included in the cost of your ticket. You need to eat anyways, so take an hour or so to eat, relax with friends, and enjoy your local science museum. Also, we will have puppies. Enough said.
