The Tragedy of Carmen

07:00 pm to 08:45 pm on Dec 20
Ivy Tech Waldron Arts Center
http://www.thetragedyofcarmen.com

We are a team of artists united by the drive to break opera out of the museum glass and bring it back into the cultural life of our community—alive, fresh, and dangerous.

We certainly don’t want to give away too much, but we will say this: Building from Peter Brook’s notorious adaptation, we are stripping everything away so that you are right in the action. The audience will surround the stage as these characters battle it out in the ring. You’ll see them sweat. You’ll watch them fight. It’s a high-intensity, high-stakes, 90-minute, all-out battle for love and freedom.

Performances are December 18th, 19th, and 20th at 7pm.
Performances will be sung in French with English subtitles
