The Duchess of Malfi

07:30 pm
Wells-Metz Theatre
http://www.indiana.edu/~thtr/productions/2016-17/duchess.shtml

By John Webster
Directed by Katie Horwitz
3rd Year M.F.A. Directing candidate .

One of the greatest tragedies of English renaissance drama comes to life in an updated version by the director who brought us last season’s brilliant reimagining of Jean Anouilh’s Antigone. The tragic heroine is a widow whose corrupt brothers intend to prevent her from remarrying. But her intentions are clear:
“If all my royal kindred/
Lay in my way unto this marriage,/
I’d make them my low foot-steps.”

Performance dates:
February 3, 4, 7-10, 2017 @ 7:30 p.m.
February 11 @ 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
