Life in the Hoosier Hills Oil Paintings by Don Geyra

The Venue Fine Art & Gifts
http://www.Thevenuebloomington.com

For this Friday’s Gallery Walk, beginning at 5:00p.m., The Venue Fine Art & Gifts will host an Opening and Reception for Artist Don Geyra, and his most recent collection of Paintings, entitled “Life in the Hoosier Hills”.

Born and raised in up-state New York, Don earned his undergraduate degree at Colgate, and his Masters in Fine Art at Indiana University. He then established himself as a scenic artist, in New York City. For the next three decades Don painted for virtually every significant Broadway Show, TV Show, and Movie produced in New York City.

Fortunately for us, Don decided to return to Bloomington. and continues to expand and explore his artistic talents. A Harley rider, Don travels the remote hills and valleys of southern Indiana and has painted, for The Venue, a whole new series of works depicting his view of “Life in the Hoosier Hills”. Realistic, but not bound by reality, these scenes, as depicted by Don, are truly original and refreshing.

Special Gallery Walk Gourmet Soup by The Venue’s award winning Chef and other Refreshments will be served at The Venue, and our fine selection of paintings, jewelry, ceramics, and artistic gifts will be on display for purchase.

You can visit the following link for free parking options near The Venue: http://bloomington.in.gov/parksmart.

This show will run at The Venue until July 3rd.
