Steve Boller is a young Singer-Songwriter who will be visiting us from Indianapolis. This young man is fresh, and brings some gorgeous melodies and rhythms to his songs. His lyrics are well crafted and he has the voice of an angle . . . need we say more? Boller is developing a loyal following at the Showcase and we look forward to having him perform this evening. David M. Kirk is a local writer who moved back to Bloomington a couple of years ago after living in Los Angeles CA for several years. He has won a few Songwriter contests with his tunes, which have some of the most beautiful melodies we’ve encountered. He is a good performer, so a show with David M. Kirk is always better for having him. Angela White (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100009287472331) is a writer who we met during one of our monthly Open Guest chair opportunities. Angela is from the Plainfield IN area, now residing near Monrovia, and was a bit nervous when she made her debut at that event . . . – but – when she started playing her unmistakable Country influenced song and confidence in her music took over. White simply stole the hearts of the Audience. She’s still honing her guitar skills, but her writing is nothing less than top notch. She makes no apologies for her Country roots – and her simple, yet amazingly potent lyric content and presentation is stellar. Her vocals are reminiscent of Emmylou Harris combined with Loretta Lynne. . . This girl is a REAL charmer. Speaking of our monthly Open Guest ‘Share-A-Chair’ – this is the evening we will sign up to five writers to rotate on one of the four Feature Writer Chairs throughout the program. Our ‘Share-A-Chair’ night is always cool and we’ve discovered some of our finest talent this way . . . (Angela White is a fine example of that!).
