BAFT Studios: Collaborative Short Film Project

06:00 pm to 09:00 pm
The Bloomington Academy of Film and Theatre
https://www.thebaft.org/baftstudio

Collaborative Short Film Project with Byron Wolter and Logan Hunter

Days/Time: Friday, 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Class Dates: September 11, 18, 25; October 2, 9, 16, 23

In this BAFT Studio project, you will get the experience of jumping into a full scale film production right away! This immersive, project-based experience will prepare both filmmakers and actors to work on industry-level film sets.

Filmmakers will learn to operate top-of-the-line equipment and practice industry-standard techniques including storyboarding, script analysis, and on-set rehearsal. Actors will have the opportunity to prepare alongside filmmakers to originate a role that is written specifically for them, including working directly with the screenwriter and providing input in the post-production/editing process.

Both groups will be working closely together to develop and produce the film written specifically for the class. Filmmakers and actors will then work with BAFT professionals to edit the film, which will be marketed and submitted to film festivals for distribution.
