Fall Symposium – Election 2020: Behind the Ballot Box – Entire Series

11:00 am to 12:30 pm on Oct 2

Join us this October for our popular symposium—with a virtual twist! The curriculum features three highly regarded IU professors. This semester, to accommodate the online platform, each lecture will occur at 11 a.m. ET on a different day within the same week. Each professor will give a 90-minute presentation on a different facet of the central theme, which this fall focuses on the ins and outs of the American election process. We look forward to sharing this learning experience with you!

Monday, Sept. 28 – Campaigns and Voting in 2020: How the Process Works

Wednesday, Sept. 30 – By the Numbers: The Census, the Electoral College, and Redistricting

Friday, Oct. 2 – The Origins of America’s Political Crisis

An Important Message from Bloom Magazine

For the past 14 years, we have been publishing Bloom, a free, bimonthly cultural and lifestyle magazine serving Bloomington, Indiana, and surrounding communities. We have four missions: to support local businesses, local charities, local arts, and diversity. We are an integral part of the fabric of this community.

Like so many small businesses (4 employees), we are facing huge challenges in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to be able to continue producing the magazine and our website, magbloom.com, but we need your help.

Please consider donating to our GoFundMe drive using the link below. Thank you!
