Continuing Exhibit: “Degrees of Inclusion: International Students at Indiana University”

Indiana University Archives, Herman B Wells Library, E460
https://libraries.indiana.edu/archives

The international student population has been rapidly growing at Indiana University, an achievement that is a source of pride for the institution. But how did we get here? This exhibit examines the history of international student involvement at IU, while focusing on the challenges and progress of promoting an inclusive environment. Some of the first international IU graduates, clubs, photographs, handbooks, programs, and personal stories will be among the items featured. These materials will provide the viewer with a variety of perspectives, ranging from the 19th to the 21st centuries, to help demonstrate the journey of the international student experience at Indiana University.

Kinsey Institute’s 70th Anniversary History Exhibition

09:00 am to 05:00 pm on Dec 24
Kinsey Institute, Morrison Hall, 2nd Floor
https://kinseyinstitute.org

The Kinsey Institute — founded by Dr. Alfred Kinsey — is celebrating its 70th Anniversary. And to mark the occasion we have created a comprehensive, self-guided history exhibition for all to see.

Coincidently, the IU Press has just published a book — written by IU’s Judith Allen, PhD, et al. — that provides an historical look back over those 70 years of significant, ground-breaking scientific research into the complex subject of human sexuality.

The new Kinsey exhibition is now open on the 2nd Floor of Morrison Hall on the IU Bloomington campus, Mon.-Fri., 9am – 5pm.

This exhibition is made possible in part by the generous support of Indiana University’s Office of the Bicentennial.

The Good Catholic

07:30 pm
Buskirk-Chumley Theatre

Daniel (Zachary Spicer) is a young, idealistic priest who loves his work more than anything. As he struggles to find balance between the dueling philosophies of his mentors, Father Victor (Danny Glover), an old school, no nonsense traditionalist, and Father Ollie (John C. McGinley), a chain smoking, carb-addicted Franciscan, Daniel’s passion for his calling never waivers.

And then he meets Jane.

After a chance encounter during a late night confession, the complicated and mysterious Jane (Wrenn Schmidt) starts to open up Daniel’s world to an entirely different set of possibilities. And problems. As new bonds form and old ones are tested, Daniel must decide what his true calling really is — and whether or not he has the courage to answer it.

Funds raised from all screenings will go to support film programming, including the BCT Movie Partner Program, at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.
