Monroe County History Center Garage Sale

08:00 am to 04:00 pm
Cook Pharmica Warehouse
http://www.monroehistory.org/

This sale, held in a 22,000 square-foot warehouse at 1300 S. Patterson Dr., will be filled with everything from LPs to holiday decorations, and possibly even a sailboat or car. The items will be neatly arrayed on tables below signs defining them by category—“Fabrics and Crafts,” “Furniture,” “Musical Instruments,” “Art,” and others. There are common items, such as everyday dishware and vintage picture frames, along with oddities such as an old accordion and several pairs of doll tights. This year’s sale will also feature a number of gently used upholstered armchairs from the old French Lick Springs Hotel at just $25 apiece. Occasionally there’s even a valuable antique, such as an original woodblock print by artist Gustave Baumann, who was a friend of T.C. Steele. Just off of the main space is a separate room filled with tools for workshop and garden, fishing rods, and other equipment for sports and exercise.

A few things you won’t find are mattresses, clothes, computers, and other electric appliances that are not in working condition.

Proceeds will benefit the Monroe County History Center.
