The Monroe County Public Library is pleased to announce the creation of Nonprofit Central, a centralized resource center addressing the unique information needs of area nonprofits.

Located on the second floor of the library, Nonprofit Central is a free and welcoming place for nonprofit board members, staff, and volunteers from Monroe County’s 700+ nonprofit organizations to find information and support for improving management and governance, increasing fund raising and resource development capacity, and strengthening the collaborative environment in which Monroe County nonprofits operate.

Nonprofit Central offers knowledgeable staff to assist with locating resources, learning and networking opportunities, and one-on-one consultation. By providing staff dedicated to building a special collection and meeting both the general and specific information needs of our county’s diverse nonprofits, Nonprofit Central will play an active role in enabling community organizations become self-sustaining.

Nonprofit Central is staffed Monday through Friday, 1 to 5 pm, or by appointment. The collection is available during all library hours.
