Opal Fly (https://www.facebook.com/opal.fly.1?fref=ts) stole the hearts of the Bloomington residents when she came to town a couple of years ago. She’s spent some time traveling from her hometown in Southern IN – and during that time on the road – ended up in New Orleans for a good bit of time – where she picked up her distinctive style. This little gal plays saxophone and sings like a star – not to mention having songs that keep folks tapping’ their toes. Steev Wisher (http://double-eband.com) is one of the 3 folks who help organize and run the Bloomington Songwriter Showcase. He performs his Rock oriented music on several instruments, but his favorite is his 12 string guitar. His lyrics are beautiful and his sense of humor is becoming one of the favorite parts of the Showcase as he gives his ‘half-time’ announcements. Jack Diamonds (no website given) is the new kid on the block having moved here from Michigan recently – now residing in Worthington IN. He’s young, he’s UBER talented and he’s going to be in good company this evening as we welcome him to his first Showcase.
