Sirojiddin Juraev in Concert

Sirojiddin Juraev, a grammy-nominated dutar virtuoso, will be performing Saturday, March 12th at 4pm in the SGIS Auditorium. Considered one of the best dutar players in Central Asia today, Mr. Juraev is the Fulbright Scholar in Residence at Harvard University.

Mr. Juraev is a lineage dutar player and was first taught by his father in northern Tajikistan. He teaches at the National Conservatory of Music in Dushanbe and performs in the state Shashmaqom ensemble.
